When we first started HCI, we predominantly worked in the corporate rescue and recovery sector however it soon became apparent that more and more of our clients were seeking fresh funding for their businesses as a direct result of the restructuring exercise.

We have been extremely fortunate to have built up a significant bank of funders and investment brokers who are seeking opportunities to fund serious business propositions and it is through these relationships that we are able to put forward opportunities for funding.

Because of the way we structure our fees (success remuneration as well as retainers) we are particularly careful in ensuring the commercial viability of each project. To ensure success we expect to be able to assess not only the commercial strategy of a proposal, but also the strength of the management team to drive the project through.

We generally look to raise funds at levels between £250,000 to £100,000,000 and whilst other companies advertise that they have this capacity we are actually handling cases at both ends of these scales.

Second Stage

The sourcing of second stage funding can be as difficult as the initial start up phase for any company or partnership. Having established the company in its chosen market, an organisation may be seeking further funds to grow the company both organically or via acquisition and Hoskyn Child International has a wealth of experience in this area to assist its clients to source and acquire the necessary funding for that future expansion.

The different types of funding available are highly varied, and range across straightforward equity stakes being taken by financial institutions or private investors, through to joint ventures with like-minded larger organisations that are happy to work together with our clients and reap the benefits accordingly.

Over the years we have built up a wealth of contacts with organisations such as VC Funders, factoring and invoice discounting companies, commercial bridging and asset funding organisations. We can normally put together a package which covers the full requirements for our clients and very quickly puts in place a strategy which meets the financial needs for the future.
